Naruto – The Story Arcs

The first Box Set of Naruto contains the first 27 Volumes of the Manga Series which is also known as the First Part of the Naruto Series.

Twelve years before the start of the series, the Nine-Tails attacked Konohagakure also known as the Hidden Leaf Village destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The leader of the village, the Fourth Hokage, sacrificed his life to seal the Nine-Tails into a newborn, Naruto Uzumaki. Orphaned by the attack, Naruto was shunned by the villagers, who out of fear and anger, viewed him as the Nine-Tails itself. Though the Third Hokage outlawed speaking about anything related to the Nine-Tails, the children — taking their cues from their parents — inherited the same animosity towards Naruto. In his thirst to be acknowledged, Naruto vowed he would one day become the greatest Hokage the village had ever seen.

There are several story arcs namely “Prologue-Land of Waves Arc“, “Chunin Exams Arc“, “Konoha Crush Arc“, “Search for Tsunade Arc“, and last but not the least “Sasuke Recover Mission Arc“. We are going to briefly discuss the highlights of each story arc below.

Konoha Crush Arc (Vol 13 to 16)

Konoha Crush Arc is an arc from Part I of the series. It spans through volumes 13-16 of the Naruto manga series. This arc sees Orochimaru’s attempt to destroy Konohagakure, which is also otherwise known as the Hidden Leaf Village or Village hidden in the leaves.

Search for Tsunade Arc (Vol 16 to 19)

Search for Tsunade is an arc from Part I of the Naruto Manga series and spans through volumes 16 to 19. This arc sees the first appearance of Akatsuki as well as the competing attempts of Jiraiya and Orochimaru to recruit Tsunade.

Closing Remarks

Naruto is full of energy, gutsy, loveable, the kind of friend you would wish for in real life. Masashi Kishimoto has done a terrific job, all the characters are well developed and well balance. Once you pickup the first manga, it’s hard to put it down till the series is over.

Kishimoto’s Art never seize to amaze us, no wonder the series has made its way to best selling series of all time.
